Happy Birthday, baby girl!!

Ok, I'm the bad mommy that fell behind on posting. Hailey turned one last Thursday (Nov. 13)! We had a party for her Saturday night with a bunch of family and some friends. She had a great time and really enjoyed opening all of her presents. I was actually very surprised at how much she stayed focused on opening everything.

Reston Zoo

It was BEAUTIFUL here on Saturday and so we headed out to Reston Zoo. Hailey loves animals so we knew that it would be a hit. She did really well and was only afraid of the swan ;)

Happy Halloween!!

This is the last "first" holiday for Hailey so we tried to make the best of it. She enjoyed every second!! Today she wore a special Halloween shirt to daycare and, when I picked her up, she was wearing her costume. All of the kids had gone trick-or-treating!

We came home, rested for a few minutes, had dinner, and then went outside to pass out candy. She wore her costume outside and loved watching all of the kids come by. Her favorite part was taking the candy that we were passing out and putting it in her own bucket!!! After that Grandpa came over and brought a spider that shakes and says "Happy Halloween!!" She played for a little while and then it was time for bath and bed. She was sound asleep within seconds :)

Pumpkin Patch

Sunday morning we finally made it out to the pumpkin patch. It had rained the day before so things were a little wet but she had a great time! We got her a teeny pumpkin that she carried around while we were there and then tried to eat on the way home ;)

Almost One!

I can't believe how quickly she's growing up. I looked at her last night and she's a tiny little person. She's walking all over the place and starting to talk. Apparently she's a little chatterbox at daycare. She's more quiet at home.

She's already showing her inner attitude. She knows when she's doing something that she's not supposed to (like getting in to the dog food) and runs when she gets caught.

Each day with her is an adventure and a lesson in patience. She gives the best hugs and seeing her learn makes everything SO worth it!
